This course is also for students seeking the Microsoft Certified System Administrator (MCSA) certification and want to prepare for Exam 70-411, Administering Windows Server 2012.

Prerequisites:

To ensure your success in your course you should have experience administering Windows Server 2012 and Windows Server 2012 R2, including installing Windows Server 2012 or Windows Server 2012 R2., using administrative tools, configuring system properties, and configuring networking settings. You can obtain this level of skills and knowledge by taking the following United States Career Campus course:

This course was developed using Windows Server 2012 Standard or Datacenter edition and the activities and content are updated to reflect Windows Server 2012 R2 release and certification objectives.
Course-specific Technical Requirements Hardware:

For this course, you will need four computers for each student and for the instructor. Alternatively, you can use one computer for each student and for the instructor if you virtualize the environment. Each computer will need the following minimum hardware configurations:

Microsoft Hardware Level 6:

  • 64-bit Intel Virtualization Technology (Intel VT) or Advanced Micro Devices Virtualization

    (AMD-V) processor
  • 2 GB RAM minimum, 8 GB recommended
  • 120 GB hard disk, 7200 RPM Serial Advanced Technology Attachment (SATA) or better
